Maude Blais is from Rimouski, a small town located in the Bas-St-Laurent region. She lives and works in Montreal since 1999. She has set up her studio in Rosemont after her graduation from the Centre ceramic Bonsecours in 2004. In this studio, she creates tableware in unique designs and shapes. Her designs are mainly inspired by the living world of botany. All pieces are cooked at 1 200 C and are carefully manufactured for everyday use. Maude Blais has won the « Jeunes talents des métiers d’art SODEC / OFQJ» price in 2009 and «Les Traversiers des arts » in 2012. Her works have been shown at the Canadian Guild of Crafts, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, the Musée du Haut-Richelieu and also in many exhibitions and events across Canada and France.
