Awards ceremony

The Salon des métiers d’art de Montréal prize-giving ceremony is an opportunity to highlight the exceptional work, boundless creativity, and unique expertise of artisans.
  • Caisse Desjardins de la culture Awards for Outstanding Achievement, to highlight the production excellence of an artisan with more than five years’ professional practice. This award includes a $2,500 grant from the Caisse Desjardins de la culture.

  • Jean-Cartier Prize, awarded to an outstanding artisan with more than five years’ professional practice. The award includes a $1,000 grant from Assurart.

  • Stand & Loft Visual Presentation Prizes, awarded to artisans with an outstanding stand or loft layout at the Salon. It consists of two $500 grants from the Salon des métiers d’art de Montréal.

  • Newcomer Award, offered by the Institut des métiers d’art to encourage artisans who have just graduated from any fine craft program offered by Cégep du Vieux Montréal. The winner receives a $1,000 grant.

All awards also include a $500 discount off the cost of a stand at the next edition of Salon des métiers d’art de Montréal.
