Since 1978, Jean-Louis Mireault paints on silk and he never stop to spread his technique all across the world. He always explore new processes to perform better and better. Honored at the CAPSQ, he is now internationally renown. He is a member of The Guild of Silk Painters of United Kingdom, The Silk Painters International of USA, The Surface Design Association of USA, Le Conseil des Métiers d’Art du Québec, Le Conseil Montérégien de la Culture et des Communications, Le Cercle des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs du Québec, The Arts and Crafts Association of Canada and D’Art et de Soie in France. You can find articles about his art expression in art magazines (Magazin’Art Summer 1991 and Spring 2002 -- Le Pluralisme dans l’Art au Québec par Guy Robert). He has been the Laureate of the Prix France-Québec en Métiers d’Art 2007, by SODEC. He is member of the Board at the CMAQ (Conseil des Métiers d’Art du Québec). He also cover the International section on the Board of SPIN. In 2010, he became DSA (Distinguish Silk Artist) at the SPIN.
